Macks Creek continued the tradition of the Homecoming Olympics with a new twist: decorating a section of halls! Not just a small portion. The entire hall. Each grade was given a movie musical theme:
7th Grade: Footloose
8th Grade: Hairspray
9th Grade: High School Musical
10th Grade: Mamma Mia!
11th Grade: The Greatest Showman
12th Grade: Teen Beach Movie
Throughout the week, students worked on their halls to include elements of the movie and Pirate Spirit! Dress up days included:
Teen Beach Movie/Hairspray - 60’s Surfers & Bikers
Footloose - 80’s Western Prom
Mamma Mia! - “Donna Day! All Denim, All Disco, All Day!”
The Greatest Showman - Circus Theme
High School Musical - “We’re All in this Together!” Pirate Blue and Gold Day
The Homecoming Olympic games each day consisted of a tiny tri-cycle race, basketball knock-out, scooter cart hungry hippos, the audience accessory scavenger hunt, and the always exciting, lip-sync battle! After a long week of very competitive games and decorating, the SENIORS were the ones that emerged as the victor!
