MACKS CREEK - Macks Creek welcomed in the number four team in Class 1 in the latest MHSFCA rankings, the Stoutland Tigers. The visitors weren't kind to their hosts, handing the Lady Pirates an 18-0 loss in four innings.

Stoutland plated two runs in the top of the second and never looked back. They pushed in 11 in the third and then six more in the fourth. The Lady Pirates sent 12 to the plate and all 12 were retired in order.

Shaylee Skinner (3-3) suffered the loss in the circle. She worked the first three innings, allowing 13 runs, only three earned, on 11 hits while striking out one and walking one. Jesse Willis relieved in the fourth and was touched for six runs, two earned, on four hits while striking out two and walking four.

Macks Creek falls to 7-6 with the loss. The Lady Pirates begin a busy schedule next week as they will play six games in six days, all on the road. They play Climax Springs on Monday, Richland on Tuesday, Springfield Central on Thursday, and then compete in the Hermitage Softball Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Macks Creek JV fell in the nightcap, 12-1.

Bailey Taylor started and took the loss. She worked an inning, allowing three runs with three walks. Catie Gabriel worked the second inning and was tagged for three runs. She walked three, hit two, and struck out one. Syrena Rector threw in the third inning, allowing three runs on one hit to go along with one walk and Molly Phillips worked the fourth, allowing three runs on two hits with two walk.

Bailey Taylor, Catcie Gabriel, Daysha Brooks, and Callie Leach all walked once. Emma Waters and Ciera Compton each walked twice. Cieanna Earney was hit-by-a-pitch. Brooks also scored the lone run for the Lady Pirates JV, who fall to 1-4-1 overall.
